Vocational and Technical Institute of Agriculture
and Forestry of Heilongjiang is a full-time
higher vocational training institute which
was set up independently .It is ratified by
the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province
and it is put on record by the Educational
Department of the People's Republic of China.
The pattern of running the institute is
integration of  teaching
and scientific research,production and management.The
institute offers the following 7 majors :Marketing,Computer
Drafting Technology ,TV Proram Making &
Broadcasting,Floriculture Technology...,it
also offers 20 polytechnic specialities.
The institute covers an area of 788,2 hectares
( including 10,000-acre wooded and hilly lands
).The buildings occupy an area of 67,900 sq.m.
The total teaching area is 56,000 sq.m.There
are 375 teaching and administrative staff
and 2,400 students.The library has an area
of 2,258 sq.m and a collection of 165,000
volumes of books.The  institute
has 4 hypermedia network laboratories with
600 computers and 2 advanced computer drafting
equipments.The electrical audio-visual education
building covers an area of 2,258sq.m,which
is equipped with a TV relay system and 124
electrical audio-visual education equipments.The
institute has 38.specialized laboratories
and 47 field-work bases in and outside the
institute.The thousand of forestry nursery
stock base can be rated as a first-class base
among other universities space to do field-work,and
carry out experiments.
With 34 buildings ( teaching,computer
and laboratory buildings,cultural centre,library
and a multi-functional dining centre),the
institute has become a modernized "University
City" with perfect function.
